The Computer Man
The Computer Man is Greg Uhlenkott with, of course, his wife, Maura, and their five children.
Greg is currently a consultant for Datex Media, developing custom software solutions in ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 for various clients in the investment property management sector. These software solutions include CSS, Javascript, and AJAX.
Also, in order to meet the growing need for computer professionals on the Camas Prairie, Greg became "The Computer Man" in November of 2005. In this role, Greg brings his years of computer experience to the service of those who live in the area. Greg is also continuing his software development through consulting projects and custom software applications.
Greg has spent the last 15 years involved in the computer industry working on various projects such as project management, document management and custom databases. His roles included Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Consultant.
Most recently, Greg worked for TeamDirection, Inc., a project management company near Seattle. There, he helped develop the TeamDirection Project and Dashboard products for Groove Virtual Office, a peer to peer software that allows teams of people to work together over a network as if they were in the same physical location. Groove is now owned by Microsoft.
Previously, Greg was a Senior Software Developer for Tier2 Systems, Inc., developing document management applications and tools for both the FileNet and Open Text document management platforms. Tier2 Systems was eventually acquired by Open Text where Greg continued to develop the Livelink Desktop product.
In early 1999, Greg became a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Greg graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1996. He also received the Computer Science Department Award for outstanding achievement in the computer field.
